What is the name of your state? California
My ex-fiance is attempting to stop me from disclosing what I know about the past illegal activity of the man she married. This man was, and could still be selling illegal drugs. As part of therapy to overcome the depression caused when he used his cocaine to distort her thoughts and steal her away from me, I have written a book to her father, which reveals that, which has been hidden from him. She has told some of my family members that she will file for a restraining order against me if I deliver my book to her father. I have no criminal record and know that a restraining order does not look good on someone's record. Is what she is doing illegal? My therapist believes that she is using this threat of a restraining order to not only block my therapy from being completed, but also denying me my right to freedom of speech. Should I file a criminal complaint against her? Is it illegal to threaten a person in this way, just because you don't like what they have to say?
I had simply asked about the legallity of what she is threatening me with. If you must know to understand my motivation, I will ask those who do not believe in God to refrain from comment. This girl was brought into my life following a head-on freeway collision, which ejected me over 200 ft. from the vehicle. It was a miracle that I lived. We fell very deeply in love, yet she had a small problem with honesty to her parents. She calls it a curse. What the secular world calls narcissism, the Christian world calls demonic influence. Psychologist say narcissism is incurable, the church says it is curable. Her and I went into a church to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, just two weeks before she told me she was leaving me for a cocaine dealer. I have met with her 6 times recently and she is frightened, knowing that she had turned her back on God and committed terrible sins as the wife of a drug dealer. This man initially presented himself as "just a friend" and proceeded to give her large amounts of cocaine, something she was not at all acustom to. She became pregnant within weeks and was forced to marry him in order to save face in the eyes of her parents. Her little problem with lying has now turned into a huge problem with speaking the truth and she demonstrates many traits of malignant narcissistic (extreme selfishness) and while the rest of the world throws their hands up concerning this, I know it is a demon(s), which have gained control of her. Her husband's dope dealing only made this situation worse and it has been agreed by many other Christian who know this story that had she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit would have entered her and cast out the demons which put the fears into her heart causing her to stray. In our meetings she has told me more than once that she still loves me and she can find no other explanation as to why she did what she did, other than she saw something in my eyes that scared her. That something was "truth" and it was the demons who were scared. There are many other details, which support my belief that God had guided us together to be married, but Satan was allowed to perform a test of faith and she failed. Now her soul is in trouble and she knows it and I am looking for any way to motivate her to go back into that church and do what she led me to believe she did before. This is the only way she is ever going to regain control over her thoughts and actions. Has anyone ever heard of the Stockholm Syndrome? The Patty Hearst kidnapping is a prime example of this and what I see is very much inline with those behaviors.
Oh, by the way, my father is a narcissist and his actions caused an imense amount of pain for my sister, mother and I and I have also dealt with a woman who is the sister of a very prominant woman in the computer industry, whose narcissism (demonic possession\witchcraft) have taken complete control over her life. For you non-believers, go ahead and scoff. The rest of you will understand the importance of what I'm doing. And no, I'm not a stalker by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I am writting a book about this tragic story and maybe you will have a chance to pick up a copy and read for yourself about what I am doing.
I thought this was a forum on legal advise, not personal guidance! When the woman whom God intended you to marry was practically drugged and kidnapped by a dope dealer and you have spent 20 years in depression because of that, you too will feel motivated to expose the criminal who did this. If it were not for my faith in God, I'm sure I would have taken care of this scumbag long ago. I waited all of this time so I would not create any disturbance in her children's young lives. 22-years with no contact, is that a stalker or someone who has respect for innocent young lives?
OK, guys. This is my last edit. I know he was a cocaine dealer because she told me he was on the day she left. I saw him in public, three weeks later and he offered to snort some coke with me, I declined. I have spoken to a commander from the county sheriff's department who explained that he has seen many cases of women who reluctantly got involved with men who first controlled them using powerfully addictive drugs, like cocaine, and later abused them, either mentally or physically, intimidating them to the point that they were afraid to speak out, battered wives! According to her, he was never busted for selling dope, yet she is very apprehensive when talking about his crimes and I sense a certain degree of fear in her voice. Perhaps her father could help her and if his daughter is being abused by this criminal and I have a strong feeling that she is, yet he does not know a thing about it, then I feel I have an obligation to tell him. If her husband IS still dealing, he is going to have some sheriff detectives watching him.
Once again, the simple question about the legallity of what she is doing has been overlooked in favor of hammering on the only person who knows enough about this man and has the balls to speak out against him. Her father would be eternally grateful that I didn't just say, "Oh what the heck, it's no longer anyone I care about", because I do care very much and she has told me she still loves me, yet she is so scared of him that I know something isn't right.
As far as souls go, it is my belief that we have been placed on this earth as a test iof worthiness to our Creator and our number 1 job is to help others whose souls are in danger. I'm only answering this because it was commented on. Does anyone know it it is illegal to threaten a person with a restraining order, in order to intimidate them from speaking what they know to another person?
I'm sorry if this story bothers you, I'm just glad I would never have to depend on you to help me out if I was ever in a potentially dangerous situation where a criminal had intimidated me into silence. There is one very bad attitude out there who is just trying to jump to conclusions and criticize every aspect of what is said, without first knowing all of the facts to make such judgements and secondly making these judgements in a totally inappropriate forum. My therapist, several law enforcement officials, my whole family and 40 or so friends, all agree that what I am doing is not only risking my life should this dealer hear of my words to her father, but also a very admirable endeavor. Yet none of the reasons behind what I am doing are important in order to answer the simple legal question I first asked. Perhaps someone has some restraint difficulties, which could be addressed through some professional counseling. I didn't come here looking for a fight, just a simple answer and despite typing several thousand words, I have yet to hear what that answer is.
Maybe if this girl was your fiance who was drugged and manipulated, or perhaps your sister or some else you really cared about, you too would stand up and help. Or would you also be intimidated into silence and let this criminal continue to destroy her life?
Far too many cowards call themselves Americans. I fear only God! Therfore I do as I see He wants me to do and that is to help others who need my help.
My therapist is a expert witness for the courts in San Luis Obispo County, Ca. involving cases of drug abuse and drug related crime. She is highly trained and holds many certifications. She has appeared on several television shows in her professional capacity, along with regular radio spots. She has over 30 years of experience in her field and is highly sought after.
As for you Sir, the one who warned me that I might find myself in jail, what are your qualifications in the field of legal consulting? What is required tio become a "senior member"? As I see, I am already a "Junior Member" , by virtue of a simple registration form, yet I have no education in law. How long until I become a "Senior Member"? Will I be required as a senior member to scrutinize people's characters and dig into their motivations, or is simply answering questions about the legality of specified acts all that is required to fullfil my role as a senior member? What I do know is that in order to claim slander or libel, one must be shown to have made false statements OR made statement with malice or intent to cause harm. Everything I have to say regarding my knowledge of this man's dealing was either told to me by the person who is now married to him OR personally witnessed by myself. The book is not for sale. Think of it as a long letter, which is bound and covered.
Should I have to explain all of this to get a simple answer regarding someone trying to infringe on my right to free speech? If you want to comment on my question, then stick to the question asked and not all of your fantasies regarding what you think you know about me, this girl and this drug dealer.
