We live in N.C. My husband had a suspended license and was ticketed for this. His court date is in November. His driving privelege has since been reinstated but we are unsure how he should proceed in court. Guilty is out of the question, as he wishes to keep them from being suspended again. Should he try to do this himself or does he really need a lawyer? Please advise. Thank you.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

He really needs a lawyer. He has his license suspended for a reason. Hence, he failed to comply with this and still drove!

Hence, even though his license was reinstated, it still can be re-suspended or even revoked because he blantantly ignored the law.
