So I guess the chief of police agreeing that he looked into it because we showed proof of receiving two copies of the same ticket is nothing. I'm soglad random people online know more than the chief of police that I talked directly to so the problem could be figured out.

Proof of receiving two copies of the same ticket is NOT proof of not having received the other ticket.

I'm glad that you had a forgiving chief of police...but then again...I wonder how the chief of police was even involved in the matter at this late date. Seems like he sure was sticking his neck out to fix this for you. Perhaps even to the point of impropriety.

There is an electronic paper trail. Comupters make it very easy to go back and see what files were printed and when.

AGAIN, your matter is beyond that for which the chief of police should be intervening. I'm not saying it didn't happen...just that it shouldn't have ;)
