What is the name of your state? CA

I entered the US on H1B - and maintained it for 1.5 years

After that I changed to F1 (student) status for 2 years

After completing my degree, I changed back to H1 for the last 6 months.

I never departed from US ever since my last entry 4 years back.

How many years of my 6 years of H1B have I used up ?

Does my time on F-1 Visa status count towards the 6 year limit since I never departed from US ?

I have read confused...please help.

No, then you can count it by yourself.

No, the years in F-1 status do not count toward the 6 years in H-1B status. If you have used up 1.5 years and then another 6 months in H-1B status, that means you have used up a total of 2 years and, therefore, you have another 4 years left in H-1B status.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance with this matter.
