What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida.

I'm a non-tipped employee in catering facility. There's a couple problems arising here. We are paid hourly [over minimum wage], but occasionally receive a tip from customers. Recently, especially larger sums became the target. We have a suspision that the owner of the company is keeping a part of the tips. I was looking all over internet and seems to me it's illegal. Also, if we get a tip that's paid with check or credit card, it get split between many other employees [dishwasher, cooks etc]. At least that's what they say... Sometimes, a server entitled to original $250 tip gets a very small percentage of it [maybe $50]. How legal is that? I was reading a lot about regular restaurant employees [tipped regularly], but what about this case?
