You locked your thread so no answers can be posted on it.

However, it really doesn't need many answers. The situation is very easy to explain:

YOU have control over YOUR children, what YOU say goes for them.

You do NOT have control over TONY'S children, what HE says goes for them.

Stay out of the way of Tony parenting his own children.

Get a consult with a local attorney to get a fuller explaination if needed.

And to answer your question with a question, TheParentsCharm, where is the actual (legal) father? He may have the right to dictate what you can and can't do with his child to some extent, but even then I doubt a judge is going to tell your girlfriend that she can't allow you to teach her child to cook.

Your story is hard to follow, but, basically, anybody who is not a legal parent or guardian of the child (children?) has no business interfering with how your girlfriend chooses to allow you to influence her child (children?).

In other words, if Tony is only your girlfriend's ex, and he has no legal rights to this child, tell him to go climb his thumb. And no, of course, he can't have the child "taken away"! Don't be so gullible.

ETA: And, one more time, your story is really hard to follow. I had to read it twice before I even noticed "Tony" was only a step-father. My post assumes I read that correctly, and that he does have no legal authority over these children.

Tony isn't their father. Tony is their ex-stepfather.

Thanks, that's what happens when I try to read a hard to follow post and get interrupted 3 times with phone calls.

OP, since neither you nor Tony are the legal parents, neither one of you have any rights.
The only apparent legal parent is the mother, who should NOT allow Tony to have any contact with her daughter. She should tell him to stay away, then file for a protective order if he doesn't.
