Say for example that a person tells their spouse they're going to commit a serious crime. Is the spouse legally and according to the constitution allowed to go to police with this information?

I've heard that the spouse would not be allowed for example to testify this knowledge because the spouse and the 'criminal' are one, and it would be like the 'criminal' talking to themself.

My Husband and I got talking about this the other day, and I'd like some answers here. Thanks in advance.

My response:

Please cut and paste your post to the "Criminal - Other" law board.
