What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota
I Owned a townhouse that was lost to foreclosure in Jan of 2011. I was sued by the association mid year of 2010. The association won. Part of the judgement was that the dues were accelerated to include the balance of 2010. Part of the judgement also included late and collection fees of $500 . I have now attempted to resolve the matter but find that they have added over $2000.00 in additional legal fees. The judgement was only for $3500.00 Is it legal for them to add that amount in collection and legal fees after the fact? Is there a limit on legal fees they may recover? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
