Situation: Driving past a High School in which a football game is going on. I am in traffic, one car ahead and one car behind. A "school Police officer" followed me to my house and proceeded to issue me a citation after I pulled in to my driveway.

He cited me for having my radio too loud and having green directional lights in the front of my car.

I know that the greens are illegal here in California but the issues are this:

1) I was in my driveway when he decided to "stop me"

2) The football game was in full gear with plenty of loud noise so how could he tell it was my radio that was loud? The other cars had their radios on also.

3) In my driveway, the officer requested me to turn on my car and my headlights so he could see that the directionals were green.

What's wrong with this scenario and how do I fight it?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

A few things:

Out of the ordinary for him to stop you at your house and I am quite sure he has no jurisdiction to stop you there or for anything else because he is a school police officer....

Fight this, fight this, especially that radio thing.
