What is the name of your state? NJ
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease about 5 years ago. She currently owns her home with no mortgage and I have durable power of attorney. My mother will be moving in with us and her home will be used as a rental unit to help cover her expenses. I would like to transfer the deed into my name. I have been told that all I need is a quit claim deed and the DPOA. Is that correct and if not, what do you suggest?

I suggest you hire an Atty because if this is being done in anticipation of a nursing home stay then the state will not view it so favorably.

You have duties as POA but those duties do not include things that make it appear you are looking out for your own pocket book when engaging in financial matters for the person who entrusted you with this RESPONSIBILITY.
