I just found out about the laws concerning travel time being "all in a day's work". My employer told me that I would receive a maximum of 30 minutes of travel time per day to take my assigned vehicle and tools back and forth from my employer's "shop" to our client's jobsite. This task often takes more than 3 times the allotted amount when you consider tool gathering and traffic conditions. It has been going on for over 5 years and the amount is over $30k. By the way, I have no way of proving each day's actual travel time because the only timeclock at the "shop" is inaccessible to "field technicians" that work odd hours.(it is locked in the office portion of the premises) I have only been reporting the 30 minute allowed "maximum" on my timesheets. Am I entitled to back pay for this unpaid time? Interest? Lost 401(k) match? Is there a statute of limitations? This is still occuring.

I'd like to know, as this is very similar to my question.
