What is the name of your state?Illinois I have a friend who owns 5 1/2 acres of land, and she got hooked up with this guy, boyfriend, girlfriend thing, and he moved a trailer onto her property and has been living there.Apparently she got tired of him and started staying with some friend's,this has been going on for 2 year's, that she hasn't lived there. So anyway this guy hasn't been paying any rent for 2 year's, there was no agreement made, she has been trying to get him off her property to no avail, and she wants her place back. She continued to get her mail there, and feed and water her horse, cat and dogs on a daily basis, and to tell him to move, which he had no intention of doing. So a few days ago his place gets raided for a meth lab, they even found one underground,he's in jail now with another of his co-horts,and she's hearing through the grapevine that the government is going to seize her property and animals. I don't really know if she knew what was going on as far as the drug activity there or not, but since she hasn't lived there for 2 year's,can they arrest her and take her property like that?

My friend

Obviously the entire thread I wrote previously didn't post because all I saw was the last sentence or two. But the guy that was squatting on her property wouldn't pay rent and wouldn't leave. So she can still be arrested and her property seized? She wasn't living there so how can they punish her for something she had no involvment in?

**A: I suggest reading the state and federal forfeiture laws.
