What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin..

Hello.. I have an issue with my mortgage with Bank of America. I made two payments in the month of April. One payment was April's payment, one payment was May's payment. SOMEHOW Bank of America applied my May payment to Principle. When I logged in to make my June payment on June 1st, my account was showing no May payment. So I was 30 day's late. In order for me to get caught up, I will need to make a minimum of May and June's payment. I contacted Bank Of America several occasions in the last few weeks. They keep telling me they will send the correction in, and it will take 3 to 4 business days to correct. I wait 3 to 4 business days and nothing ever happens.

I have been unemployed for about 13 months. I have been doing whatever I can to make my payments in a timely manner... I am up for a job, and part of the requirement is I pass a credit check. The last thing I want right now is a 30 day late showing up on my credit report for something that wasn't my fault. Not too mention BOA is demanding that I send in a minimum of two payments to correct this. I barely have enough for one payment. And in another few days I'll have another late charge added to this account.

Is there any complaint form somewhere that I can help fix this? My main concern right now is that I don't want a 30 day late showing up if a background check is performed from a potential employer.
