I have been going thru the first time home buyer's process for a couple of months now when finally my husband and I got an email from the mortgage co. saying we were 100% approved we were thrilled. We found a house that we loved and let our mortgage co know that we wanted to make an offer. She told us to go ahead. So we put in the offer it was accepted. we paid to have the appraiser come out. then the following day she called and said that my husband had a lien against him for child support. But she knew that from when she did our credit checks. we faxed her a copy of his child support agreement. she never said it was a problem. she said that child support has to release the lien but they won't. Know we don't know what's going to happen. Is there anything we can do. Please help!
