Trying to work with him, he keeps wanting more???

How convenient for you.

oh, I now...however, it's also convenient for him, since this is what he had asked for in our modification last year, and was basically denied. He's on an off weekend right now (based on when his step-daughter is home), and he doesn't want to wait until after summer to swap weekends, he wants to swap now.

He feels that he'll be gaining by doing this, which may have been his intention all along - I wouldn't put it past him. But, we'll see what happens. I'm not trying to take advantage of him, and this opportunity, I just hope he realizes that I'm trying to work with him, and give him some extra. We'll see.

I have to be honest - as an outsider listening to you "speak", it really sounds like you BOTH have a lot of animosity towards each other, which makes this very difficult to work out. That's why I recommended a neutral party. An outsider will be able to see things in "black and white" and won't have to look through the lens of dislike and mistrust that you and your ex have towards each other.

Seriously, do you even read what you write? Do you listen to how you sound?

How do you know what he "feels" why do you have the idea that every action he takes is only for his own benefit? Why is it when he wants to change it is because he is gaining something? but when you want to change it is so that the kids don't miss out on things? Did you ever consider that he may have things planned with his children as well. That HIS stepdaughter is now a part of HIS family, just like your auntie is a part of your family reunion that is soooo important to you. Really, what is wrong with you?
