What is the name of your state? New jersey

My car was broken into so I filed a claim with my insurance I rented a car while my car is in the shop. i did not sign up for the rental cars insurance offered. I use comprehensive for my own insurance.

yesterday while driving the rental car on the highway a truck rolled an object and it smashed the windscreen. The police officer said the truck cannot be held liable because its almost like an act of God. Is my insurance going to cover this since I still have an active claim with them.

any truck must have any objects tied down to prevent that from happening. It is the law

Fun, explained what happened a little more..

From what I understand the truck drove over an object that got kicked up to your windshield by his tire. Correct?

If it was ANYTHING that fell off HIS truck - its his insurance/fault and the cop was on crack.
