Hi. This is my first post at the FreeAdvice forums. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'm from Colombia and yesterday I found that a Mexican TV news show used part of a video I created and uploaded to YouTube in a report. My friends keep telling me that I should ask for some kind of compensation because of unauthorized usage. The video is entirely homemade and doesn't have any kind of copyrights, so that's why I think any claim would be invalid. I just want to know if there's something that can be done about this or not.
