I recently found out that my son had sex with a girl who is 14 and he was 15 at the time when I was on vacation and his father was with him (we are divorced). Is there and if there is what is the legal action that the daughters family can take against me or my son? I know the law in Michigan is 16 w/consent and 18 without consent. As far as drugs, alchol or anything there was none involved it was supposedly both agreeded apon.

First of all, there is no age limit that makes sex without consent legal.

Since both parties are under 16, then there is not a lot the other family can do since the girl would also be gulity of any crime since the boy was also under 16.

Did you know it is illegal to have oral sex in MI?

I think it's time to talk to your son about safe sex, and perhaps let him attend a class on the safety's of sex and abstinence.

Let's face it, teens are going to do things that we as parents would not wish for them to do. But, handle the situation to the best of your ability.
