Maryland - I was notified today by a friend that there was a video he thought was me on a porn website. I did some research and found it on multiple sites posted by the same person or atleast someone with the same username. This video was made without my consent and the incident took place in 2010. At which time I was 17, so I believe technailly irs underage porno.

My question is ther eanyrhing else I can do? I've submitted abuse reports to the websites telling them it was without my knowledge and I was underage but I can't prove it (video was posted 2 years ago) and idek if they'll honor the request. I DONT know the person who posted or even remember the guy I had sex with.

The publication of the video would not be defamation but would be an invasion of privacy (publication of private facts, false light) and there are criminal charges that can be pursued against the one who videotaped you and the one who published the videotape online.

A complaint can be made to your local police (who will transfer your complaint to proper state authorities) and a complaint can be filed with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center: https://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

Law enforcement will investigate the crime(s) and you can consult with an attorney in your area about a civil action. The videographer/publisher will need to be identified, which can be difficult (but not impossible).

The NCMEC will forward reports made to the tip line to the appropriate state agencies for investigation.

MelMal, you will want to provide in any report a list of web addresses where the video appears. If the websites are not responsive to your requests for removal of the video, the websites will no doubt be more responsive to a request made by law enforcement.
