The underwriter that had been working with me has stopped all contact with me. He has all the original paperwork,(not copies),I needed to apply for a loan... (ie: Wifes and mine paycheck stubs for past year, divorce papers, 1999 tax papers, rental lease, 2 years worth of bank statements, 2 years worth of rent reciepts, ect.) The company he worked with said they have no way of contacting him and that he just up and left with no way of traking him down. I have another company wanting to help me but they can't without me having those papers. The home I am living in and renting is up for sale by my former step mother ( my deceased father willed it to her). This house has been in my family for 32 years and I am wanting to buy it but I am now denied that option I feel because all my paper work has been in my opinon, stollen. What can I do? I don't want to lose this house but I may now because of this!!! Columbus, Ohio

To all loan applicants: NEVER EVER give your originals.

To the writer: I suggest you now immediately get duplicates and start loan processing with another mortgage broker or lender.
