He was going to make the copies for me since he picked up my paperwork at the house and return my originals to me... GOOD ADVICE H.G.! (NEVER EVER GIVE ORIGINALS) wish I knew that then and not be so trusting...but what I am asking is...do I have a good law suit against him and the company that he worked for, denying me due process in purchasing a home? I was told that he and/or the company he worked for is required by law to return all paperwork upon request. Its been over two months now and the home is on the market for sale. I may lose it!

You have a good regulatory case but not a civil one. Filing a civil lawsuit would not be worth the money.
Plus that if the guy cannot be located, you will not be sble to get him in court and your stuff is lost.
As far as the homeis concerned, I suggest putting some money down and do a land sales contract or contract for deed now to tie up the property. Once you got it under contract, you will be less rushed to finance but could still proceed accordingly. From a Seller standpoint, it would be much easier to sell the property to you since you live there already and want to buy.
