What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

In an appeal hearing where you are trying to discredit that what your employer stated about you is not true or never happened. I.e. According to EDD my employer advised that in a meeting held my employer advised that I need to return documentation that they felt was proprietary. I am stating that I never took such documentation nor was such a request made. At the time of the meeting (5 days before being terminated) I was advised that I would get a copy of what was being discussed. and all parties took notes and documented the answers given. (I documented questions asked and answers given) I never received such documentation of the meeting notes as promised by HR instead I was fired for what they advised me as being dishonest in filing a claim with DFEH which had no merit which they considered to be insubordination. Can I use my meeting minutes/notes taken at the time of the conversation showing the questions asked and answers given as proof that what I was accused of was never requested and to shed light on what exactly was asked and the answers given?

How can I tell if my hearing went well for me?

Hi,
I had my UI appeals telephone hearing. I'm not sure what to think. I spent a lot of time researching and preparing. I was appealing misconduct. My employer's evidence was all hearsay, a video with me leaving with a shopping bag Anhe accused had items i stole from lost and found. But he did admit you can't see in the bag. And he states an eye witness, which is a different manager. I argued both video and witness were heresay. I explained cleaning rags were in the bag.He then stated that if that's true then its still theft BC the rags belong to company. I also stated I had 2 witnesses who would support me that day BC they left the office with me and said I didn't have the items. And I had a witness prepared who is the laundry supervisor stating she gave me permission to borrow the cleaning rags. However the judge never let me call them. Is that normal? Is that a good thing?

Please start your own thread. Thank you.

(PS: There's no way we can guess at the answer to your question. You'll have to wait for the ruling.)
