Quick question regarding unemployment benefits. I live in So. California, and due to my husbands job, will be relocating to No. California. I have been with my employer 21 years, but will have to quit, because of the move.
Since I work for a supermarket, my employer does have a store where I am moving to, but even if I submit a transfer request, they are under no obligation to honor it, plus the fact that it is a different union, and different division doesn't help.
What I want to know is, If I have to quit my job in order to relocate, am I entitled to unemployment benefits?
thank you
