Subject: Unemployment deniel/PA
I worked for an Auto Auction as a Security Guard (3rd shift), for almost two years. No problems with my work. I was working 8 days on/6 days off, (trial period), then I was approached by my Supervisor that they needed me for Monday sale days, then my schedule would reflex, Monday sale day, then Tues-Thur nights, one week then the next would be Mon-thur nights. I agreed to this because my wife is ill at home, and I had to make arrangements for someone to be around in case she needed help. Since the verbal implied agreement was okayed per upper management, (schedule was carved in stone, as I was told), and my schedule reflected such, I worked for numerous months with weekends off. Employee's were hired to fill in for weekend shifts. My supervisor was laid off, then let go, and new management came on the scene. They called my home and said, if I couldn't work weekends, they would no longer need my services. They didn't even give me time to find someone to help me with my wife.
I signed up for Unemployment Benefits, which were denied, per Willful misconduct. However, my job record is clean, and they even told the UC office that they had no problems with my work. Anyone have any avenues I might be able to track to help me with my situation?
