What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
California
My wife and I are both retail clerks, we both elected to have Kaiser for our medical. The union trust dropped my wifes coverage and said they would pay all of our out of pocket expenses for her coverage . I got a pair of $4000 hearing aides a year ago and my coverage paid $2000 for durable goods. When I submitted the bill for the other $2000 to the Trust they denied the payment saying it was not a co pay. I appealed it and was denied again. I took all my information to the union and they agreed with me and filed an appeal on my behalf and they were denied also. Now I am just getting the runaround from the union for a year now. Should I get a lawyer or go to small claims since I have proof. I purchased hearing aides from Kaiser 5 years ago when the union purchased both of our coverage’s and Kaiser reimbursed the full $4000.
