I am living in MA and got stopped for not letting a pedestrian cross at a cross walk. Unfortunately my car was unregistered and uninsured. I had a valid license but it was from CA. I got charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, the crosswalk violation and driving without a license. The officer said that since I had been in the state of MA for over 10 days my CA license was as good as expired. I have to go to court on Thur. Will I have to spend time in jail if I plead guilty. Is there any way I can avoid having this on my driving record? I want a career in education and heard having this on my record is extremely negative and could affect my career choices. Can I have probation and pay a penalty to avoid a record?
