my mother told me that i am being sued but it is under her name. i live with my grandmother and she is my legal guardian. i know my mother is not telling the truth i need to find out how to learn if i am being sued or not because she won't let me see the papers. this is urgent. i am 20 and she lives in west virginia and i live in maryland. please respond back quickly to Jis418@aol.com thank you i have been really confused and crying about all of this I need your help desperately.

Jeni22, This is not legal advice - just thoughts and questions.....How can you say you are being sued if your mother says it is in her name? Sounds to me like "just maybe" your mom is being sued. Since she won't let you see any papers that sounds kind of funny don't you think? I wouldn't worry about it. Just think about it:
1) She says it is in her name
2) Won't shown you any proof
3) Did you do anything that "YOU" could be sued for?
