Hi,
A friend of mine got kicked out from school over a year ago here in michigan. He is on F-1 student Visa. He is still staying here in Michigan trying to get back in school. However he could not afford to get back in school nor go back to his hometown. Now, he found a us citizen who would like to sponsor him. I would like to know if he is still legal here, his 1-20 is already expired, i don't know about his Visa. I also would like to know if he can change university and obtain i-20 from other universities as he would like to transfer school. His foreign student advisor told him to go back for five months in order to be reinstated but he would like to know other alternative. I also would like to know if he can work here as he used to work on campus and has a social security number. Please help, as this man mean the world to me.
