When looked at the USCIS website for local processing times at the Seattle District Office, they had I-485 that was postmarked December 19, 2003
(info from May 13,2004), now they updated it a few days ago and the date went back!!! It says that right now they are processing I-485's postmarked December 4th, 2004. Does that happen often? Any reason for them going back and forth with the dates?
Thanks!

Yes, that happens. They usually update their website on the 15th of each month. Depending on their case loads, the expected and projected dates will vary, so it can actually go backwards. Although it sounds bad, it is still actually moving forwards.
