Can one post public information eg. address, telephone#, for business institutions from public directories and include on a web site ? Would you need permission from the business owner to have that info posted? Thx.

for what purpose? to harass them?

to air your complaints? do you want to make a profit on your website business, by saying how bad they are? Did you design their websites?

purpose is a very important part of the answer.

Posting Public info on Web Site.

Dear djdj. Let me be more specific. The site I have created will be for profit but not to complain or disparage the business. Quite the contrary. This is a directory of restaurants and we would promote the site to help patrons search for what they want. We wanted to have base info on the site(Name -Address) and would then charge for enhanced
sites(Pictures, menu info etc)or private web sites. Thx
