Used home rip-off

I live in Picton, Ontario Canada

We bought a used home in June 2000, after moving in we have found a severe problem with water seeping into the basement during rainfalls or snow melting.

This home is located at the bottom of a hill covered with trees.

This problem was not disclosed during the purchase process.

Any ideas out there ?
Can I sue?
Am I covered under insurance?
