Texas- so I was recently mislead into spending money on a "program/course" that teaches you how to make money in the financial markets. Turns our the company and its owners have lost lots of other people's capital, and continue to market a product that offers completely false promises. So I decided to purchase the owners domain name and post my experience and expose the false practice the are promoting in hopes that others do not fall in the same financial hole that I did. Can the person who's name I bought sue me?

Yes, you can be sued.

If you purchased a domain name that has the company's name in it, you can have trademark issues, if consumers mistakenly go to your site believing it is the company's site. If everything you say about the company and/or its owners is not provably true, you can have defamation issues. And there could be other issues with your site that could give rise to a lawsuit.

You can have your site personally reviewed by an attorney in your area for an assessment of your legal risks and, if you receive from the company or its attorneys a cease and desist notice or a summons and complaint informing you are being sued, you will want to have an attorney assist you.

What kind of lawyer should I search for?

If you are sued, you should search for a good one. :)

For an assessment of your domain name and a review of your site, you could look for a lawyer who is familiar with internet law, media or communications law, IP law ... the law specialties overlap and all will often be part of one division in a large firm.
