What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee

I was recently fired from my job after being away at college for the last 6 months. During the time that I worked for the company my picture was taken and ended up being used in the company brochure without my consent. This same picture is being used for all of his other locations under different names bringing them lots of money. Within the brochure is also a picture of a girl where her parents had to sign a consent form so that it could be used. Shouldn't I have one too? I have never signed a piece of paper at this business not even an application so I know for a fact that they can not go back and say that it is okay since I signed a contract, this is a really shaddy business being that they do not follow by OSHA regulations, fire codes, and even have Medicare fraud ( I have proof of this :D). I just need to know if I have a case to put up against because if they will settle paying for the picture (at least 1 year full time pay per the 4 locations) and remove my picture from all their labs; I will not go to court.

At the very minimum I am calling OSAH, the Fire Marshall, and Medicare.

You should post this under Libel/Slander/Defamation, and you will probably get a better response. This is not a civil rights matter. OSAH, the fire marshall, and Medicare cannot do anything regarding this problem, as they do not deal with defamation cases.

So you think it's okay to use extortion as a way to get money from your previous employer?

Extortion by definition is the threat to do something illegal to get something. (pay me or I burn down your house). Reporting a potential issue to a regulatory agency is not illegal. If anything what the OP is considering is more like blackmail but if they really are doing what he alleges I hope he reports them. (or would have done so already).

edited for clarity.
