What is the name of your state? Massachusetts
we purchased our home with a VA mortgage (my husband is the veteran). Now are are planning on divorcing and he wants to purchase the house from me. I need to be sure my name gets removed from the mortgage and deed once the sale is final. He says my name is not on the deed because of the VA. Is this true? How can I verify this? thanks

You can go to the county courthouse and go to the office where the mortgages are recorded and look on the recorded copy of your mortgage.

The only way you will get off the mortgage is if he refinances after your lawsuit is over. Also, as part of the judgment, you may be required to deed over your interest in the land to him, but that will not remove any liability you have (if any) on the loan.
