What is the name of your state? California

Two weeks ago sent a DV letter to an attorney representing Asset Acceptance. I haven't heard from him and they have not yet reported a dispute to the 3 CRA's. What should I do? I know they have 30 days to respond but you would think they would get the ball rolling on my Validation because I requested quite a bit of information from them. I think the SOL has expired -- I'm waiting for confirmation from the original creditor and my bank. Regardless they must legally report that I am requesting Validation (or disputing) their info, right??? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

How did you send the letter? Did you send it certified mail return receipt? Where did you get the address that you used to send it? Why would the attorney report a dispute to the 3 CRA's? If you want to dispute this debt, YOU would have to do it. I'm a little confused by your post. Please clarify.

I sent it via certified mail and have received the receipt. I sent it to the address on the letter from the lawyer from Asset Acceptance. As far as the dispute is concerned, I thought it was the collection agency's responsibility to report to the CRA's that their claim is being disputed or needs verification. I may be wrong.... but isn't Validation a form of a Dispute?

I plan on disputing it myself once I get feedback from the original creditor.
