What is the name of your state? MN

I have a vehicle that is in my name, I own the title. It is being driven and insured under the name of the driver.

I have two parts, one of which I'm not sure falls under this catagory, but I'm not sure where else to put it.

First issue, is it illegal for the insurance to be under the drivers name instead of mine.

Second issue, if at some point in time I decide to take this vehicle due to the other party not making their payments, would I be doing something illegal? Can a possession law override the title? What would the best thing be to do with the contents of the vehicle if I am to do this? The driver has bought things such as a stereo and rims for this vehicle. They also have other various items inside of it.

"is it illegal for the insurance to be under the drivers name instead of mine."
*** Though not 'illegal', it is not allowed. And if a claim is made and the insurance company finds out, they can deny the claim.

"Second issue, if at some point in time I decide to take this vehicle due to the other party not making their payments, would I be doing something illegal?"
*** If the vehicle is in your name only as you suggest, then no.

"Can a possession law override the title?"
*** No.

"What would the best thing be to do with the contents of the vehicle if I am to do this? The driver has bought things such as a stereo and rims for this vehicle. They also have other various items inside of it."
*** The things that have been added to the vehicle remain with it. Any personal property inside must be made available to the owner.
