When I was hired in Aug 99, my employer offered me $12.00hr and a dollar raise after the first of the year based on the condition that I commit 6 month employment to the company. I verbally agreed.(Witnessed by my supervisor and a peer) On Dec 17th staff were told our pay was being cut as of Jan 1st. The pay checks received in Jan is for hours worked in Dec. Our Dec pay reflected the pay cut.They broke our verbal contract and ripped all of us off on Dec pay. Is this legal? It sure doesn't seem like it. I held my end of the agreement up, I'm still there.
