Very Important Question: There was a special attorney status meeting before a judge. The two opposing attorneys met with the judge without my counsel being present. He showed up to attend the meeting. The clerk in the office told him he did not know about it; thereby, he left without being part of what was said in that meeting. Now, the rulings that are being made are not based on law. I feel the judge is giving the opposing attorneys he met with some kind of partiality since they had that meeting with him. My attorney is cautious of asking the judge to remove himself due to that fact. I want to know if I can say something. Am I right is requesting the judge to remove himself on the grounds that my attorney was not there to represent my interests during that special session? God only know what they said to him. Being in Alabama, it feels like southern politics, not law.
