What is the name of your state? missouri.
My son, Christopher A. Conger, was charged with a 3rd degree misdemeanor assault. After several last minute attorney changes that were beyond our control, he pleaded guilty to avoid a jury trial and was sentenced to one year in the Buchanon County Jail. The judge has denied Christopher any chance of work release or parole. Christopher has no prior criminal record and even worked as a corrections officer for three years before resigning due to injury. He has no means now of supporting his fiance and two small children.
I believe that Christopher's civil rights have been violated in the unjust and unfair sentence. Offenders with longer records have been given much shorter sentences and probationary periods by the same judge. My son is paying because the victim is well connected to the judicial system in St. Joseph. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

He pled guilty. Absent a mistake of law or other malfeasence, start sending him some cake (sans file) and keep his bed made.
