What is the name of your state? Florida

I run a website for a video game and want to hold tournaments that give out cash prizes. I get the money for the tournaments from advertising, and I would like to give some of the money back to the community in the form of these tournaments. Are there any legal issues or possible problems with giving money as rewards in video game tournaments?

Would the legality change if I charged money for an enterance fee to make the prize winnings larger?

Thanks!

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you clearly state the rules of how they win and what they have to pay.
