What is the name of your state? North Carolina

My husband is terminally ill. He does not have a Will. We have no children however he has two Boys by previous marriages. One is age 22 and the other is age 15. We do not own any real property. We have one car in both of our names ie my name or his name. He does have a life insurance policy and I am the sole benificary. Does he need a will? Will his children be able to make a claim on the monies obtained from this life insurance policy.

No they don't. The money passes outside of probate and is payable directly to you as beneficiary. Isn't that good news?
