What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? VA My situation is this: My friend filed for divorce in March 2005. It is now Sept 2005 and the divorce papers are still not complete. We called the Clerk of Courts and they said, no it is not final yet. My friend moved from Virginia over two years ago, this is a no-fault divorce where you have to live apart for a year or six months depending on if there are children involved or not. Everything is finalize that we know of but the divorce papers are (STILL) not signed by the judge. My friend turned the finalizing of the divorce over to her lawyer because he doesnt live in Virginia anymore. Both lawyers agreed to this way of handling the finalizing of the divorce. Does anyone know HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE JUDGE TO SIGN THE PAPERS? :( Does anyone think that something else might be wrong? My friend will not call his ex to find out anything, I wished he would but he wont. Any help would be appreciated.. Thank you

Divorce filed in March...not yet complete in September...???? I suspect that its a bit too soon to be expecting the divorce to be complete.
