In the State of Tennessee my boyfriend (in the process of divorce) is concerned that my moving in with him will cause his vindictive soon to be ex-wife to hurt his visitation time with his 2 and 4 year old daughters (one night a week one week and two nights the following). They have a temporary parenting plan in effect which states a girlfriend/boyfriend may not spend the night while the children are with him. My question is will the courts continue to dictate his personal life after the divorce is final? I want to move in with him but I do not want to jeopardize his time with his girls.

My response:

Because of their "tender years", a court may very well, and would be within it's discretion to, order that overnight visits with another adult are strictly forbidden until further order of the court.
