I just recently moved back to Virginia from Indiana. My ex and I have a court order that states I get visitation (we have joint custody--he has physical custody) in the summer for 6 weeks and if I ever come back to the state of VA, I have to give him a 7 day written notice to see my boys. I have given him written notice of my recent move here (within 30 days) and had asked him to see my kids a week ahead of time but didn't give him written notification, only oral notification. He and his wife say that I can see my boys only in their presence and only for an hour since "they" don't know if I have moved here or if I am just visiting. There is nothing in my court order that states I have to see my kids in their presence. I understand I have to get my order changed now that I have moved back to VA but what can I do about my ex and his wife denying me visitation with the proper notification? Also, what can I do about my ex's wife? She has refused to let me talk to my kids as well as verbally assaulted me in their presence. My kids are 8 & 9. This has been going on for almost 3 years now.
