Have a question please. My ex recently sued me for custody of our 2 girls. The judge ruled in the temporary hearing that the 13 yr old could live with her dad because she had signed a parantal preference and verbalized to him she wanted to see what it was like to live with her dad. I remained the PCP over our 6 yr old. So now visitation has to be redone. I think at this time we are negotiating on a plan to allow both girls to be with each parant and each other. He gets the 1st and 3rd and wens evenings, I get 2nd and 4th with a scheduled evening each week. I guess we will alternate the 5th weekends. Its all still being worked on. I'm a RN who works nights 7pm to 7am, three days one week and two the next. There may be days where I have to be at work during the weekday evening visitation and possibly one weekend day. Due to the holidays schedules are already made through December. Sometimes I can switch with another RN, sometimes not. Can I still get the 13 yr old even if I am going to have to be at work so that she can visit with her sister and half brother? My husband said maybye on those nights he could bring the girls to my workplace so I could see the 13 yr old even if its just for 15 minutes. Is there another form of visitation that might work better with this type of situation? It's all being negotitated this next week with the lawyers. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Teggie
