i live in virginia and was given away at birth (not adopted) to an aunt, and until recently had a good relationship with my mother
my niece, upset that the truth is now out, has refused to allow me to visit my 89 yo mother since she has moved into my mothers home
do i have any rights or legal recourse?

Forgive the stupid question.. but what relation is your niece to your 'real' mother? I ask because you might refer to your aunts daughter as your sister since you were brought up in your aunts house for so many years.

she is my biological half sister's daughter (who by the way is going along with this)
my mother had me and a younger sister after her husband died and she never remarried
the name on my birth certificate is my real mother
