I am a refugee in the U.S. and currently have an I-94. I've filed a petition for a Green Card 1.5 years ago, but thre's been an emergency and I have to go to my home country (the Ukraine)as soon as possible. What documents do I need to obtain so I will not have any difficulties comming back to the U.S.?

It is indeed the advance parole but it is I-512. It will allow you to re-enter the states again. it will take only 10-14 days before you get it, you need two or three passport pictures and 100$ ( multiple entries ) and I think it is even less for only one re-entry.

The time it takes depends on where you file.. some do it in a week, others, it can take over a month.
