What is the name of your state? Arizona. I was employed by a Phoenix advertising agency as executive director for their charity December 31, 2004 at a monthy salary of $5,000 plus benefits. I received my last check March 31, 2004. On June 2, 2004 the president informed the employees that he was closing the agency June 4, 2004;however, he requested that several top managers stay on including myself. He informed us that we would be paid out of account receivables. I have never been laid off or terminated and have never been paid. The offices were closed at the end of June. Since the amount is more than $2,500 the Industrial Commission of AZ will not consider my claim? What are my options to collect wages? The company has not filed bankruptcy. The company president is liquidating assets. Can I "force" the company into a bankruptcy proceeding? What is my standing in a chapter 7 proceeding?
