I had a car in 1996 and it was repoed. I thought that everything was settled with the bank until about a year ago when a collection agency started calling me and harrassing me, my neighbors, family, and work. I told them if they were going to be rude to me I wasn't going to work with them and that the debt was settled anyways. I have no paperwork to prove it was settled. They started to take money out of my check last week and I went to the court system and they had papers on record stating they allowed this to happen but had all the wrong addresses on it for me and I knew nothing about it.
