What is the name of your state? CT

I had a car in 1996 and it was repoed. I thought that everything was settled with the bank until about a year ago when a collection agency started calling me and harrassing me, my neighbors, family, and work. I told them if they were going to be rude to me I wasn't going to work with them and that the debt was settled anyways. I have no paperwork to prove it was settled. They started to take money out of my check last week and I went to the court system and they had papers on record stating they allowed this to happen but had all the wrong addresses on it for me and I knew nothing about it. The amount they say I owe is
Total unpaid damages and costs 4565.13
Intrest 4358.60
Court fees 1338.56

What can I do about this because i thought it was taken care of until last year then these people are harrasing me and now they garnish my wages?

???

So its ok to let them yell and threaten me? All I asked was for them to talk to me civil and I would talk back to them but they refused.
