i am 17 years old and live in washington state. My fiance and i are expecting twins any day now and wish to be married. my mom wont allow this. my dad is on our side but does not have custody of me. is there anyway we can get around the marriage laws?

My response:

Believe me, if it wasn't for the fact that you are about to give birth, I wouldn't be telling you the following :

After you give birth, you can Petition your Superior Court for Emancipation (See http://search.leg.wa.gov/pub/textsearch/ViewRoot.asp?Action=Html&Item=0&X=718171637&p=1 )

Once emancipated, you can apply for your marriage certificate and get married.
